Corbin Carroll (23-Arizona Diamondbacks) has recorded the fourth-most games in Major League Baseball (MLB) history in his first full-time season.
Carroll started in right field and went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs in Arizona’s 5-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, on Monday 카지노(Aug. 28).
With the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Carroll led off with a walk and then stole second base on the next batter, Ketel Marte’s at-bat. It was Corbin’s 40th stolen base of the season. Corbin, who already had 22 home runs, now has 20 home runs and 40 stolen bases.
He is only the fourth rookie in American League (AL) and National League (NL) history to reach the 20-homer-40-steal mark, joining Tommy Agee (1996), Michelle Page (1977) and Mike Trout (2012). He is also the first Arizona player to accomplish the feat in 16 seasons since Eric Burns in 2007.
A first-round pick in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, Corbin has developed into a highly touted prospect, reaching the top of each media prospect ranking early last year. After making his big league debut on Aug. 29 last year against the Philadelphia Phillies and batting .260 with four home runs in 32 games, Corbin has been a full-time player this season, hitting .281 with 22 home runs, 64 RBIs and 40 stolen bases in 126 games for Arizona.
Arizona is 69-62 through 28 games, holding the third NL wild-card spot. They are 12 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the West. The Dodgers are in the hunt for a postseason berth as a wild card. They’ve been on a roll, winning 11 of their last 14 games. At the center of it all is Carroll. He’s currently the No. 1 candidate for NL Rookie of the Year.
