Doosan coach Lee Seung-yeop is not on the club bus?
For the Doosan-Samsung match of the ‘2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League’ held at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 25th, three buses carrying Doosan players entered the baseball field around 3:45 pm.
Many reporters were waiting to cover coach Lee Seung-yeop, who appeared for the first time in Daegu for a game wearing a Doosan Bears uniform.
However, coach Lee Seung-yeop was not seen until all three players and coaching staff got off the bus. An official from Samsung’s public relations team also asked Doosan’s manager Kim Seung-ho about the whereabouts of manager Lee Seung-yeop.토토사이트
After a while, a Doosan official appeared and said, “Director Lee Seung-yeop will arrive at the stadium separately in 3 minutes.” As a Doosan official said, manager Lee Seung-yeop got out of the vehicle at the club’s accommodation.
Doosan coach Lee Seung-yeop bowed lightly to the reporters and entered the stadium with a grave expression. A Doosan official said, “When away games, the coach often uses other means of transportation from the lodging to the stadium.”
Director Lee Seung-yeop, who visited for the first time wearing a Doosan uniform, did not attach much importance to the reporters, saying, “I don’t have a special feeling. When I said that I was with Doosan, I felt different, but now I feel like I am a complete member of Doosan.”
Rather, he thought about the game plan. Coach Lee explained, “I came here thinking about whether I can play the game today. ‘If the game is canceled, how should I take the starting rotation? What should I do with the other line?’
When asked if Samsung fans would feel sad then, Lee laughed and said, “Then what about Doosan fans? “Thank you endlessly. But now that I started as a leader and I wear a Doosan uniform, how can I show my affection for Samsung? The public and the life must be clear. Samsung fans will understand.”
Coach Lee Seung-yeop, who took over as Doosan coach in October of last year, joined Samsung Sea in 1995 and played in the Samsung Lions uniform until 2017, except for the period when he challenged the Japanese professional baseball.
Lee Seung-yeop played in 1906 KBO League career games as a player, posting a batting average of 0.302 (2156 hits in 7132 at-bats), 467 home runs, and 1498 RBIs. He ranked first in the KBO’s all-time home runs, and also held the record for the most home runs in a single season with 56 home runs in 2003, making him a signature hitter for Samsung.
However, the match was canceled due to rain.
Meanwhile, in the game on the 26th, Doosan started Alcantara and Samsung started Buchanan.
