After playing for Hanwha in the KBO, Mike Tuckman (Chicago Cubs) returned to the U.S. to play in the big leagues.
After failing to re-sign with Hanwha, Tuckman signed a minor league contract with his hometown Cubs. The Triple-A outfielder was called up to the big leagues on March 20 following the loss of Cody Bellinger to a left knee injury, and he didn’t waste the opportunity.
In 27 games through Sept. 19, Tuckman is batting .282 with 10 RBIs, three doubles and a .408 on-base percentage. In his last eight games, he’s batting .321 with a .429 on-base percentage. He’s earned the right to bat first.
Tuckman, who hit .289 with 12 home runs, 19 doubles and a .366 on-base percentage for Hanwha last year, was not re-signed by the organization. With a .430 on-base percentage, he wasn’t a big hitter.
Although he left the Korean scene after just one year, Tuckman is back in Chicago and swinging the bat hard. Even with Bellinger back from injury, the Cubs continue to utilize Tuckman. It’s hard to imagine leaving him out of the lineup. With Tuckman in center field, Bellinger is playing first base instead of the outfield.토토사이트
After two years away from the big leagues, Tuckman is playing happy baseball.
