Manchester United are preparing a contingency plan in case they fail to sign Harry Kane.
Kane is believed to be United’s top summer transfer target. A lack of a clear-cut striker has plagued the Red Devils all season, and it’s thought that signing Kane, with his goal-scoring and link-up ability, would solve that problem.
It’s also been speculated that Kane’s record in the English Premier League (EPL) makes him want to continue his career in his home league, and that he wants to lift trophies, so there’s a good chance he’ll join United next season as they challenge for more trophies.
However, United are worried that Tottenham Hotspur will not sell Kane. Kane has one year left on his contract, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell him, whether he re-signs or not, given the club’s situation. Kane is responsible for much of Tottenham’s power, and if he left the team, the club would likely collapse.
The club has even considered alternatives to Kane in case they don’t land him. According to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, who has insider knowledge of the club, “With Tottenham refusing to sell Kane, United are considering another striker. Manager Eric ten Haag has named Kane as his preferred target, but United are reluctant to play games with chairman Levy, who is notorious for stalling negotiations.” Luckhurst revealed five strikers United could target if they fail to land Kane.토토사이트
Victor Osimhen (Napoli), Randal Kolo Moani (Eintracht Frankfurt), Rasmus Hoilearn (Atalanta), Gonzalo Higuain (SL Benfica), and Mohamed Koudous (Ajax) are the five players Luckhurst discussed. What they all have in common is that they are young and talented players. Even Osimhen, the oldest player mentioned, was born in 1998 and is still 24 years old. The youngest is Hoyun, who was born in 2003 and is only 20 years old.
If Kane is a resource that can be utilized immediately, the players mentioned as possible replacements for Kane could be thought of as players that United could entrust with the team’s offense for the long term.
