Hong Hyun-seok leaves Klinsmann and returns to Hwangsun Hongho.
먹튀검증Hong Hyun-seok made his international debut against Wales in an away friendly at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Aug. 8 (KST).
Hong was called up by Jürgen Klinsmann in a home A match in June and made substitute appearances against Peru and El Salvador. He was called up again in the 2023-24 season, playing five games for KAA Gent in the Belgian League, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Klinsmann showed his trust by starting Hong Hyun-seok, but it didn’t work 100% as he played him in the right midfield instead of his usual position in the center of the field.
Hong played on the right until the 61st minute of the second half, when he was replaced by Hwang Hee-chan.
The Korea Football Association said on the afternoon of the 8th, “Hong Hyun-seok will return home through Gimhae Airport after a recovery training in Cardiff today and will join Changwon on the evening of the 9th.”
Hong was selected for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games along with Seol Young-woo, but was sent to the Klinsmann for an away trial in September. His return to the squad was confirmed after the Wales game, giving him an early opportunity to work together.
On the other hand, Seol Young-woo, who earned a starting spot against El Salvador and again against Wales, will not return with Hong Hyun-seok. He will remain in England to prepare for the game against Saudi Arabia.
