Amancio Amaro Varela, honorary president of Real Madrid, has died. He is 83 years old.

Spanish national Amancio is a Real Madrid legend. He made his debut for Deportivo La Coruna in 1958 before moving to Real Madrid in 1962. He played a key role in the promotion of Deportivo, which belonged to the second division at the time, and received great attention from Real Madrid, and eventually succeeded in transferring.
Amancio’s position is a wide attacking midfielder. His nickname during his active career, mainly playing as the right wing, was Wizard.
