토토사이트Kim Bo-yong (26), who played in the Uzbekistan and Thai leagues, has joined Bucheon FC 1995 in the K League 2. Kim, who returned to the K League after a three-year absence, will play as a forward for Bucheon.
Bucheon announced the news of Kim’s signing on its official website on July 7. “Kim Bo-yong is a striker with great speed and the ability to break through the side,” the club said, adding, “He is expected to provide a boost to the offense by penetrating the space and making clever moves with Bucheon’s existing strikers.”
Kim, who began his career at Hwaseong FC after attending Sungsil University, got his start as a professional player in 2020 when he joined the Jeonnam Dragons of the K League 2. He went on to play for FK Turon in the Uzbekistan Super League, where he scored four goals and provided seven assists in 33 games, and Chiang Mai FC in the Thai League, where he scored nine goals and provided five assists in 35 games.
After three years away from the country, he rose to fame through his YouTube channel “Uzbek Mercenary Boyong,” where he expressed his desire to play in the K League and dreamed of making a comeback. He recently posted a video of himself relaxing and working out on Jeju Island with traveling YouTuber KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin).
Kim is 180 centimeters tall and 76 kilograms, with quick feet. He plays an attacking style of soccer that involves digging into the opponent’s back line. Bucheon head coach Lee Young-min said, “Kim Bo-yong is a player with good strength and speed, and his tactical versatility is expected to be very high.”
“In line with our forward-thinking philosophy of actively recruiting talented young players who need opportunities and prospects who have the potential to grow, we have reached out to Kim as he continues to make his own way in a foreign country, and will be joining us from the second half of the 2023 season.”
“After playing overseas for three years, I’ve always dreamed of coming back to the K League, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do so with Bucheon,” said Kim. “Bucheon is battling hard in the promotion playoffs, and I’m looking forward to helping the team in the second half of the season.
